Point & Toot fires a sound, waits three seconds, then takes the photo. Whatever your subject's face does in between — that's the shot.
Free during beta · iPhone · Point & Toot launches on the App Store soon
Every capture follows the same sequence — the gap is the whole point.
Arm the camera in Tootographer Mode, or hide it entirely in Smelfie Mode with the hardware volume button.
A sound effect plays through the speaker — full volume, even on silent. Fourteen sounds and counting.
Three seconds is long enough for confusion, betrayal, and a laugh to all cross someone's face.
The photo captures automatically, watermarked and saved to your own private Point & Toot album.
Plus a "Record Your Own" feature.

Same three-second window, two very different setups.
Full viewfinder, on-screen shutter, visible countdown. You're clearly the one behind the camera — everyone knows a shot is coming, they just don't know what's about to happen.
An innocent-looking screen with no visible controls. Trigger it with the hardware volume button so nobody — including you, apparently — sees it coming.
Point & Toot builds its own gallery — "My Al-bum 🍑" — right alongside your Camera Roll.
Point & Toot ships with a free starter library. More packs are on the way as in-app purchases.
A bigger, weirder, more theatrical set of sounds for anyone who's outgrown the starter library.
A one-time paid unlock for anyone who wants to go commando without the "Shot by a Tootographer" signature.
Point & Toot ("the App") is a creative iOS camera application designed to capture spontaneous reaction photos using synchronized audio effects. Your privacy is important, and this policy explains how information is handled.
Point & Toot is designed to operate entirely on your device.
All core functionality—including camera use, sound playback, and photo capture—runs locally on your device.
Point & Toot does not collect, store, or share any of the following:
We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising tools.
To function as intended, the App uses certain device features. All processing happens locally.
📷 Camera Access — The App uses your device camera to capture photos. Images are processed in real time and only saved if you choose to store them.
🔊 Audio Playback — The App plays built-in sound effects through your device speaker. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted.
🖼 Photo Library Access — If you choose to save a photo, the App writes it to your device's photo library using Apple's standard APIs.
Point & Toot may offer optional in-app purchases for additional sound packs.
All app-related data is stored locally on your device. This may include:
No data is synced to external servers or cloud services by the App.
Point & Toot does not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, tracking tools, or social media integrations. The only third-party system involved is Apple's infrastructure for App Store distribution and in-app purchases.
Point & Toot does not knowingly collect personal data from children. The App contains no social features, messaging, or user-generated content sharing systems.
📷 Camera — used to capture photos.
🖼 Photo Library — used to save images to your device.
